The Montana Wood Products Association was founded over 30 years ago and has served as the major voice for the industry with the media, state government, legislature, and the public.

MWPA's membership represents a diverse group of companies and individuals involved in all facets of the wood products industry. Voting members are companies involved in the value-added process of manufacturing various forest products.

The Montana Logging Association (MLA) was incorporated in 1976 as a non-profit organization to provide a united voice for the family-owned businesses that harvest and transport logs from forest to mill in Montana.
